Omega-Day is a massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), which is solely browser based. To play Omega-Day there are no downloads required, since all the data that is needed is server-side. The game simulates the fate of thousands of nations in real time.

When starting, the player gets the position of a ruler over a single planet, hence the nation. The player is responsible for the development of the planets, the research of new technologies, the colonisation of new Planets and the defence of the empire. Unfortunately the outer space is tricky and dangerous. In order to survive alliances have to be formed, hyperspace travel routes need to be negotiated for.

Whether your nation develops into a benevolent trade nation or a nation dependent on space piracy is left to you. Keep in mind though, you reap what you sow.

Omega-Day is completely based on a system that is running serverside. The browsers only job is to display this for the player. Since we are aiming to present a high quality game in every aspect, an actual version of your browser is required (ideally IE). If you would like to view the Galaxy in 3D-Model you will have to download the Flash plugin from Macromedia and additionally we suggest a connection of DSL+. If your connection is slower then this you still will be able to run Omega-Day smoothly, alas we suggest the use of 2D-View & HTML-View.
